EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—Organizers are releasing the entire lineup for this year’s Concerts In The Park series, sponsored by United Bank of Michigan.

Rebekah Rhys will be the first act to take the stage June 10 at John Collins Park.  Her 7 p.m. performance kicks off a summer filled with free musical performances.  The entire schedule is as follows.

  • June 10:  Rebekah RhysRebekah Rhys offers up pop rock with a tinge of folk influence and hints of Natalie Merchant. She will create a relaxing night with her unique voice. 
  • June 17: The Adams Family - This act offers a crowd-pleasing repertoire ranging from folk to classic rock hits of the 1950s-60s.
  • June 24: SilentBarkOffers a combination of rock, pop, blues, alt-country, funk, folk and groove for an exciting show guaranteed to get people dancing.
  • July 1: Chris Vallillo- A nationally acclaimed singer/songwriter and folk musician who makes the people and places of the Midwest come to life in song, with the help of six0string and bottleneck slide guitars and harmonica.
  • July 8: The Puddle Sharks- This local band is “fun and engaging” while playing a balanced mix of crowd-pleasing favorites with great “B-side” tunes rarely played by other groups.
  • July 15: Jim ShanebergerA mainstay in the Michigan music scene for 15 years and counting. Best known as a bass guitarist and vocalist, he is making his songwriting debut. His songs boast a bluesy, funky, soulful combination and showcase his diverse range of musical interests. 

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair and picnic basket for the performances. No barbecues, grilling, open fires or alcohol will be allowed.  Due to construction on Lakeside Drive, drivers will need to seek alternate parking.  If inclement weather occurs, performances may be cancelled.  To find out the status of a concert, call (616) 940-4800 ext. 300.
