The curtain rises on the drama season. Fall play is “Midsummer Jersey”, a silly retelling of Shakespeare’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream” set in modern New Jersey.

The play will be performed on three different dates, Nov. 15 ,16, and 17 in the PAC.

Following this is Winter Play directed and co-written by East Grand Rapids Middle School’s very own, Harry Coffill. The title is a work in progress and will be called either “Trouble At Holly’s Holiday Emporium”, or “He’s Checking it Twice”. Auditions go three days, Oct. 1-3.

Pre-musical shows are a more obscure line-up. “24 Hour Theater” is the first event to attend. Students write, put together, act, and present plays within a 24 hour time limit, happening...
