You may have noticed a new addition at the corner of Lakeside Drive and Wealthy. The flag pole in front of the Grand Rapids Yacht Club has been replaced. 

The City recently became aware that the flag pole--dedicated to President Ford in 1976--needed to be replaced. Constructed in sections with sleeves; one of the sleeves had deteriorated to the extent replacement was necessary. 

A new flag pole was installed this week by City Sign Erectors from Grand Rapids. The cost for replacement was $7,990.00.
