EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—It’s a sign of new times in East Grand Rapids.

During its regular meeting August 19, the East Grand Rapids City Commission unanimously approved a replacing the current, 18-year-old sign for Manhattan Park with a new one. The new sign will match those already on display at John Collins Park, Remington Park and Waterfront Park.  It’s expected to cost $14,000, which has already been set aside in the city budget.

The Manhattan Park sign will likely be installed near Cascade Road this fall.
