Residents encouraged to use 'paper gator' to recycle old phone books | Environment
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
East Grand Rapids, Mich. (WZZM) New phone books are arriving all over town and that means residents are looking for places to get rid of the old ones. The City no longer places a separate dumpster at the Public Works Complex for collection. We now urge residents to support their local schools by using the Paper Gator recycling program!
If you haven't already been using the Paper Gator dumpsters, here's how it works: Paper Gator Recycling of Byron Center places green dumpsters around the area at schools and churches for the community to use for recycling many different kinds of paper. The dumpsters are emptied regularly, and the non-profit organizations are paid by weight for all the paper collected.
There are currently three Paper Gator dumpsters at East Grand Rapids School Buildings, and the Schools are welcoming your old phone books (and any other recyclable paper you'd like to donate).
