East Halloween Plans

HALLOWEEN TRICK-OR-TREATING. Halloween is Sunday, October 31st. To provide the safest environment possible, the Public Safety Departments asks trick-or-treaters to wait until 6:00 pm to begin trick-or-treating, and to be done by 8:00 pm. This will allow drivers to watch for all the children at the same time and allow homeowners to plan evening activities.

The Public Safety Department offers the following tips to make Halloween a safe and fun event for all:

Children should:

Take a pre-established route in a known neighborhood and have a curfew.

Bring flashlights, stay on sidewalks, avoid crossing yards, and cross streets at the corner not between parked cars.

Stop at all corners and stay together in a group before crossing the street.
