East Halloween Plans

HALLOWEEN TRICK-OR-TREATING. Halloween is Sunday, October 31st. To provide the safest environment possible, the Public Safety Departments asks trick-or-treaters to wait until 6:00 pm to begin trick-or-treating, and to be done by 8:00 pm. This will allow drivers to watch for all the children at the same time and allow homeowners to plan evening activities.

The Public Safety Department offers the following tips to make Halloween a safe and fun event for all:

Children should:

Take a pre-established route in a known neighborhood and have a curfew.

Bring flashlights, stay on sidewalks, avoid crossing yards, and cross streets at the corner not between parked cars.

Stop at all corners and stay together in a group before crossing the street.

EGRPS Winter Break Followup Message

Dear EGRPS Families:

This is a followup to our message sent last week regarding the incorrect dates which were published for the 2010-2011 Winter Break.  Again, we deeply regret our error and acknowledge that it has created a challenge for some of our families.  If you have already finalized your travel plans and your child(ren) will be out of school on the originally posted dates of February 16, 17, and 18, please click the web link below and complete and return the form by Friday, October 22.

This information will assist me as I personally work with administrators and individual teachers to address any learning that will be missed.  We will work together to determine how to best support the students before and after their absences.
